Headed to salmon country this weekend in search of some winter steelhead.. it was great to be north again but the weather just sucked, we grinded it out and even took a ride west looking for some browns in a small tributary but came up dry. Go big or go home! Well....we went home 50 mph gusts 12-24 inches of snow and talk of shutting route 81 down and expected power outages was enough for me. We ran with our tails In between our legs.

Monday I brought my buddy back out with the fly rod he’s been really wanting to learn to fly fish. Headed up to peaquest for a good chunk of the day guiding him to put him on his first few rainbows he’s ever caught with a fly rod. We ended up with 7 bows between the two of us and a couple we lost. Stoneflys were the ticket for us. These trout need a break! We need some hard water to play on already !!!!🤞
