Anybody fish open water on MC or RV the past few days? Still looking to get the boat wet one more time.

Fished MC last Monday 12/16 for a few hours mid-day, got 1 - 23” laker.

I’m sure valley is open, might be a little challenging launching the boat though....

Stopped there saturday...its WAYYYY low
But very managable

Give mc a call to make sure the ramp is ice free. Imagine with the sun and warm weather it is ok

In the past, when RVR was low, I wouldn't catch wading the eastern shore.

Monday, my first trip there this winter, I was surprised to get 4 hits and landing a short rainbow.

A good stretch is of hard bottom. Other spots I sink mid-ankle deep. Yes, you have to be cautious.
