Birthday Bass Bash!!!

Had a huge window during the day before my birthday affairs were going down so could only think of one more thing I wanted to do, so I grabbed my gear and bounced!! Hit a hidden hole somewhere in the woods and had great solo trip! Landed about 15 fish, all Larry besides 2 slime darts, and missed about another 10 or so on the hookset. Definitly a little tough out there finally finding and trying to get the damn fish in! Picky, picky, picky!! But went through my bag and thankfully had what they seemed to want. Hope the bigger ones come out to play soon!

Happy Birthday, nice scenery and nice job catching!

Wouldn't have posted a report but I thought the similarities were unique, we were out yesterday from 12 to 4 and had similar success with a bunch of 12 to 13+" cookie-cutters, no pickerel and three 8" BG's. Probably caught a dozen and a half small bass in total but at the high point we caught about a dozen and the 3 sunnies in dead calm conditions between 3pm and 3:20, all on top in shallow weeds one after another.

Have you ever caught anything over 4lbs out of that place? I've made the trek in the past, and those are about the average size fish I've encountered.

Thinking about going there with nothing but a big glide bait lol.

Thanks guys, definitly was time well spent!
all on top in shallow weeds one after another.

I wasn't getting anything on top. Tried 3 different topwater lures amd only had one big swirl. My go to for stillwater ponds and puddles is a jitterbug that's older than i am, but still no luv on that either.
