With the sun going down i was waiting for a guy to pull his boat out so I decided to fish for 15 more minutes. Had a fish earlier crimp my wire leader to my jerkbait, another fish missed. I was pretty deflated to say the least, then BOOM!!! 10 feet from the boat, got this beauty right as the sun was dissappearing. Thank god for release tools!! Had to cut a few trebles to make it a quick CPR. Sorry for the shitty pics but I take videos of my catches, it’s just quicker so I can get the fish back in fast.

It's always the last 10 or 15 minutes that the big one comes through!! Release tools are definitly a must have when going for any esox, kudos for being prepared. Nice mountain muskie bro, hope to see more soon!!!

Great catch man! Muskie fishing certainly isn’t easy when your constantly throwing big plugs. It gets tiring! Way to go dude! Beautiful toothy serpent!:D

Congrats on the Musky!!! Your screwed from the normal fishing now that you got the Musky fever you won’t want to catch anything else!! Lol I catch a lot of them every year at Mountain and do your shoulder a favorite and throw smaller stuff, I catch most of my fish on smaller plugs
