With the mid-week nor’easter followed by some cooler night time temps I got out at first light Saturday morning hoping for the fall turnover. I think it happened. The walleye bite was the best I could hope for. Had fish at every drop, fished a couple spots I’ve never tried and they produced also. I had 9 eyes and 3 nice smallies by 11:30. I wanted that 10th eye bad but the sun came up and shut the bite down. Kept at it and got #10 a little after 2pm….#11 came up shortly after and called it day. The eyes went from mid-teens to 24”. Smallies up 16”. Fall fishing is the best!!!!!
