Grabbed my fly rod and launched the kayak in a new section of the river Saturday. It turned into a great day on the water, landed some nice pike including my new PB! Two pike were over 30" with the largest going 34".
Here are some photos from the day...

PB on a fly.
I caught a longer but less weight pike on a Chatterbait in a lake last season. This guy was definitely heavier and stronger, towed my kayak around a bit.

That looks like great fun, I would love to try it. Are you able to paddle back to your launch spot?

When I launch I usually paddle upstream and then drift back down to the launch spot.
