So havent posted in a bit because my wife and I welcomed our second on 7.5.19. Luckily, i have been able to get out a bit early in the morning still (thanks wifey). Have been hitting my local pond that this board has laughed at me for before. Have gone back to a spot i used to frequent that is off the beatem path and infested with huge wasps. But it has paid of recently with numbers and the past 2 days quality. Got out this morning and matched my pb on the nose with this 5 pound 4 ounce gal who put on am aerial show and launched herself higher than ive seen a fish her size ever get. Also got locked in some weeds which led to a rescue mission, luckily was wearing my waders tobprotect from the wasps. Havent mastered the art of getting a good pic with a timer so my selfies will have to do even though they never do the fish justice. Also caught my pb slime dart a couple days ago. The rest have been solid fish small but very fiesty. Thanks for the read and tight lines.

nice lunker!

my selfies never come out good either...i think JD Trout should conduct a seminar on how best to take pics when fishing solo.

Congrats on your second, and good job on making the time you have available productive. Close waters, and especially small water, makes for some rewarding fishing.

This wouldn't be in Woodland Park........would it?

Great bass! Can I ask what time of day she hit and if it was a reaction bait or a slower presentation?
I just figured out the selfie timer thing on my phone. Assuming yours is the same or better than mine since I have an old phone— Once you get the 10s timer turned on, you should also reverse the camera view so it uses the camera lenses on your side of the phone. This way, you can see what you’re getting.
