Delaware River Walleyes 5/17/19

Hit a favorite hole on the big D a week ago for some evening walleye.

Caught a few rock bass and then 2 walleyes. One was a decent keeper. Released them all to grow. Shad were splashing around at night. River running high and muddy as expected with all this rain ruckus.

Shad are still around even in the lower Delaware tidal creeks (was there last weekend for snakeheads and bowfin.)

Thanks fellas, the hard work of researching these guys paid off. Now I can reliably find them.

I might be posting a report on a snakehead and bowfin trip this weekend to South Jersey.
Only 5 species left! Maybe this will be the year the list is finished.
