Took a ride up to try for Haddock and it turned out to be a tough trip. 8ft ground swell gave the fish lockjaw, we were dropping down on some very heavy marks and not getting a touch. After a few hours we went a little deeper around 230ft and started scratching up a catch, by then a couple guys were beat up and done so we only wound up with 31 keeper Haddock and a few nice Cod that had to go back. Highlight of the day was when a guy was reeling up a fish and it got slammed by a big fish, after about 20 minutes the dropper on the rig broke. Captain said it was a big Halibut but we never got to see it. I had a good time anyway and Capt Dave and mate Zach were great. Got to meet Capt Paul from the Wicked Pissah very nice guy and I would like to thank Capt Dave from F/V Tuna.com for helping us out and his generosity to me.

Glad you had a good trip with Tricky Dave from Tuna.com and got to meet Paul too. I knew them before the show when Dave became a sponsor here...
Although they paint Dave as a villain on the show, in reality he's actually a great guy... Dave, Paul and Sandro came down to support us when we did the Sandy Fund Raiser Christmas party at their own expense...

Got them hooked on pork roll too :)

Thanks for the comeback Gerry. We didn't get to fish with Tuna.com Dave, but he did hook us up with another Capt also named Dave who along with his mate Zach put out a great effort for us. You are right about those guys can't judge someone from what you see on TV.QUOTE][/QUOTE]
