Mixed Bag Report 5/4/19

I started out fishing the shoreline of the Delaware river. I got 2 dink smallmouth bass around 10/11" on keitechs. Then I got in the boat and caught 11 shad, all good size and fought like crazy. Also had a few bites that didn't hook up. I think all but 1 were caught on spoons. Then I went to a nearby lake and caught a largemouth, a pickerel and a black crappie on a swimbait. It was a nice day out despite the weatherman saying it was going to rain.

Those shad look 3 ft long lol... they're insane looking. How big were they? Looks like a very productive day!

They were all big and feisty even the bucks. The 2 roes that I weighed were 4.5 and 4.9. Don't know the length but they were long
