Went back to the canal for about 25 minutes in between jobs. Started with a zman razor shad jig. Ended up snagging out in river.
Return to canal with shadow rap shad and finally caught a walleye.
Hit close to the bank and had a nice, brief fight to it, and was safely released.
Left pumped and ready to go to work. I appreciate the info I learned here and from other anglers I've talked to outside in person.

Nice catch man! Im looking to add an eye to my list this year. Did he hit it on a steady retrieve or were you twitching it?

Hit on the pause after twitching.

Hit on the pause after twitching.

Nice man! Gotta be great to feel an eye slam a motionless lure.
