First Largemouth of 2019

Finally caught my first (and second) bass of 2019! Got out of work around 3:30 on Friday and headed straight to a little pond smack in the middle of an office complex in Highland Park where I have had good luck in the past. I have heard rumors that fishing is not allowed at this place but I have not seen any no fishing signs and never been confronted so until someone says I can’t fish there, I will continue to do so. Anyway, I started with a jig and after about 30 minutes caught my first fish. The water is very deep at this particular pond and exceedingly clear so green colored lures seemed to be the ticket. I switched to a senko after I lost the jig and managed a second fish before calling it a day. Hoping as the temps increase the fishing will only improve.
