March 17th bass and pickerel

Fished a local lake in the boonton area and had pretty good fishing. Finished with 4 pickerel of mixed sizes and two largemouth both around 2 pounds. All fish were caught on a lunkerhunt kraken jerk bait. The key was long pauses and fishing where the deep water begins to shallow up. Overall very fun after a long winter.

nice bass.. the slow presentation is the way to go after ice out. the boonton area lost the ice early it should warm up soon in that area and the fishing should improve for you tight lines.

Nice bass. Pickerel are always a good addition to bass fishing. Like salt on a steak.
