Started to have some cabin fever so just had to get out for a couple of hours. Went to spring lake and threw a few jigs for a hour or so with no luck. Sat down lit a cigar and threw some bait. One rod had a garlic power bait and another live killie. A couple of minutes later the garlic bait went off and almost took the rod out of the holder , I set the hook and two head shakes later I came up with no hook. Clean cut off so god only knows what that was. About 5 minutes after that I saw my slip bobber moving around with the killie and sure enough it got slammed down and I reeled in this beautiful leftover bow.. took a pic and let her loose. Only fished two hours and met my buddy for lunch... I’m glad I got out!

Nice. Good to go out this time of year. And you got a sweet bow to boot.

A reliable source told me he had a good bite by the flag pole for about 45 minutes last week ...5 bass caught and another couple missed between him and his friend however the previous three hours not a touch... guess if you hit them right it’s good if not no good at all!
