Ice conditions on lake hopatcong

Drove past on my way to work yesterday morning and there were a few groups out on the ice. This morning, nobody. Not sure if that means a thing.

There was about 3 guys out in front of state park this afternoon. Edge looked really soft.

I was out over to the left of Dows on Tuesday. A few guys out, ice was at least 6” everywhere i drilled. Using a hand auger I was actually hoping the ice would have melted a bit more, it was exhausting. Weather was amazing, I was out on ice wearing jeans and a light sweatshirt and was comfortable.
