Winter walleye report

Had a long weekend and got to chase some river walleye this weekend. Spent 3 days looking for some bigger fish away from the crowds and managed to find some great fish. Always amazes me that people tend to congregate in the same spots and don’t go looking on their own. Drove past a bunch of boats at the usual spots and managed to find some beasts away from the crowds

You fishing from a Mirrorcraft? I must’ve fished near you at some time. It’s tough out there especially when guys are zipping around in a circle trying to get the right drift. You're not kidding about some beasts, beautiful eyes! Can be a tough fish to catch but when it all comes together man is it worth it. Great post, good job and welcome to the site.

Thanks guys for the welcome. I’m in a crestliner jet. Ended up with a lot of fish but also a lot of small males. Had a half dozen or so really good fish. Also ended with a few of these.

Nice.....there's some beautiful channels in that river. Again nice job with the walleye, some real quality fish.
