2018 NJ Trout Fishing

I took off from work yesterday and hit the river in search of trout. The air temp was 30 and the water temp was 36 when I hit the river. I was rewarded by landing 6 nice size rainbows and 1 small tiger trout (I think). Unfortunately what I believe was my 1st tiger trout was only about 4" to 5" and after I got the hook out of it's mouth I let it swim around in my net while I got my phone out for a photo but the trout swam right through the opening in the net. I really believe this was a small tiger trout, it hit a crank bait which was almost 1/2 it's size!

This puts me at landing over 100 NJ trout for the year! This has been my best year ever for NJ trout in both quantity and quality. I have released all the trout I have caught in hopes that someone else can enjoy catching them as much as I did.
