50 ft TAGGED FISH

Sunday we had 1 of our great open boat crews out for a Blackfish trip..
We sat on the first drop for most of the morning picking away at shorts an some keepers. The rigs definitely had more fish than jigs. When the action died out we hit 2 other pieces where the guys put a few more fish in the box. Sal had the hot hand with his limit. The guy all worked hard to put 22 keepers on ice.

Monday we had Mark and his crew out for tog. We fished 4 wrecks each having some life. By days end the crew put 20 nice keepers on ice. The fishing is not what it should be but after the snow storm & 50 mph east wind im glad we caught what we did..

We have open boat availability in December. .
Check the TRIP CALENDAR on our WEBSITE for availability

And not a word about Tuesday?? That's all right Captain, all anyone needs to know is I got my first limit of the year!!!!!!! Seeing that everyone would probably think, "Wow, they must have started really chewing if Ron got a limit!" This was not the case. Though I would say Tuesday was a better day than the two previous days mentioned it was by no means drop & reel for keeper size fish. It latterly took me all day to put my limit together!

And fer sure, it was a good day to be on Tagged Fish!

I watched Captain Chad take the time to do a little teaching. He took a guy, who admitted to me later that he really knew very little about Blackfishing, And he showed this guy the basics and a little more. The guy then caught 2-3 keepers and many shorts during the day. Like I said we spoke briefly as we were getting off the ship , the man said he had his best Togday ever and had booked a couple more open boat trips.

We always joke about the abuse we get from Captain Chad, you know, "The fishing is free, it's the abuse is what you pay for!" Well in honesty, my advice is, Watch, listen and learn. And if you still don't know ask. Captain Chad and mate Mike are two of the best.

Thanks for a good day Captain.

( This concludes the "Nice portion of my day, now I can go back to being a grouch!)

Congrats Ron

Sunday will be by first trip out with Chad on the new boat. Looking forward to fishing with him as he is one of the best around. Always enjoy fish with great Capts and great blackfisherman. Been doing this for 30 + years but still seem to learn something new that helps me better my craft. I fish differently now then when I fished just a few years ago. Blackfishing is a Religion not just a hobby for some of us. Still get excited everytime I get out as it is the only fish I fish for that I do not get bored with as everyday is different and it keeps you sharp to adjust to the different conditions and bite.
