I went back to the same spot that I caught dozens of fish last week. But somebody turned the switch off. I could barely buy a bite on the shiners only catching 4 crappies and 4 sunnies. Then I switched to soft plastics and got 5 nice largemouths. The biggest going 3.12 lbs. I'm gonna keep hitting this lake till the trout bite is good.

Sweet bass! Strange how you did better on lures than live bait.

i don't think that's strange at all...i tell people all the time if you've got the right lure and are working it properly, you can out-fish live bait most of the time for most species in most situations
