Made it out twice the last couple days to harass some bass. Hit a north Jersey lake with pops on Sunday afternoon. Reports from the couple boats coming off the water weren't good. Couple dinks and a couple skunks. Still, we managed to boat a few. Best of the day was a 17/18" Larry for pops, and my only fish of the day, a nice thick 20" Smallie!
Yesterday I took a little journey out to an NJ lake I've yet to fish. First 30 mins I had a 2 smallies. One dink and one decent around 18". Fought great! Unfortunately, about an hour or two, and zero fish later, my motor decided to take the rest of the day off. :eek: Worst yet I was pretty much on the far side of the lake!! Started rowing back and just happen to be directly into the wind.
After about an hour I was lucky enough to have a young guy fishing with his family offer to give me a tow the rest of the way. It was hot and I was spent so to say I was appreciative is an understatement!! On the ride in he was telling me it was his first trip on his new boat. I laughed and told him it was my first time getting a tow. Also, they recognized me from the site and told me his father's a member, didn't catch his screen name though. So anyway, just wanted to say thanks again Luke and family!!
