Don't know about anyone else, but I feel that there must be more to this story. Is he the only person that crabs in this area?
Are their other reported cases?
How reliable is the news source? I noticed that some other stories are of the same type: SEE ALSO: The tick bites that make people allergic to red meat and dairy may also increase heart disease risk
NOW WATCH: These are the foods a food-poisoning attorney refuses to eat.

There have been other cases in that area over the years. lots of crabbers. The bacteria that causes the infection is more common in tropical areas. Though Delaware Bay is pretty warm in the backwater creeks during the summer. That type of infection doesn't usually effect people, but it can, and it's more likely if someone has an already weakened immune system.

News source is reliable. The tick bite is not BS, I have a family member who has that meat allergy. The symptoms are similar to a peanut allergy, and can be deadly.

Things are weird, when I was a kid, no one seemed to have peanut allergies.
