Got out of work and headed to the river. It’s about time it’s not flooded and over it’s banks anymore. I mean c’mon man, the stretches I fish go up 10 feet every time it drizzles. Thank god for a little dry spell! The river was perfect last night! The clarity was terrible as always and seems to be getting worse due to roadwork and other drainage projects going on. It is what it is!

Oh yeah, the Pike! They’re still right where I left em’! And no, I’m not rusty! Hooked 3, landed 3 in a rather short after work session. Nothing huge but all solid fish around 30 inches! What a fun fish to catch! They jump, they have teeth, they eat small, medium, large, x-large and jumbo baits. They pull drag! They get pissed when you land em’ or handle em’! Feels good to go back to my

Gotta agree the stretch I'm local to would always be flooded the last times I visited it, while Raritan would be flowing fine.

I wonder what makes it flood so easily, I guess how the river banks are.

Also crazy how you are in shorts on that poison ivy tick infested river :eek:

Ticks, Mosquitos, poison ivy!?!? I don稚 have an issue with any of these things!!!

Those mosquitoes would have drained me in a hard, brittle shell. Even when I am out on open water, I am chased off the water by mosquitoes soon after sunset.

now that's gittin-er-done.. those are a good start eddie nice toothy critters. pike-a-thon in your future? looks like those guys better get their homework done to give you a run for money.. jd trout might be the olny one to watch out for, he knows how to git-em too :rolleyes:
