Hit up a new pond I recently discovered in Little Ferry, about 10 minutes from my office in Fort Lee. The pond was in Lakeview Field Park and I was pleasantly surprised to see tons of bass on the beds and cruising the Shoreline. I had only taken a few casts when I hooked this decent largemouth. At that point I was ready to keep fishing but unfortunately as soon as I released the fish I got a call from the office that required my attention and had to go back to work. I also caught a dink on my way in this morning at Overpeck Creek, so 2 for 2 at my Fort Lee spots today.

Nice LM! I didn't think little Ferry was big enough to have a Pond! Used to work in Carlstadt back in the 90's. Old stopping grounds for me.

Impressive, not just the fish but staying clean for work; whenever I go out I get filthy and sweaty :D

I managed to stay clean but probably still smelled a bit ‘fishy’ when I got back to the office. Nothing that some hand washing and a few squirts of purel couldn’t cover up though!

Pretty sure it’s called Indian Lake. Found some old threads dedicated to this spot and all dismissed it as polluted and dirty. They must have recently cleaned or dredged the pond though because when I was there the water was gin clear and pretty deep with lots of submerged rocks/boulders. The bottom had just enough green algae to make the beds of clean gravel highly visible.

Lake hasn't been dredged or cleaned. Probably just the fountains. I live up the road. Lakes has never been cleaned or dredged in the 20 plus years i lived here. Some days its incredibly clear others it's absolutely horrible.

It's Indian Lake. They've done a decent job cleaning it up. I fished it quite a bit as a kid for trout when they stocked it with my uncle, and also very occasionally in the warmer weather catching lots of sunnies. I haven't fished it in at least 20 years, but have always known it to be a pretty clean spot with some fish in it. Nice to see largemouths in there!

Nice! That's great that you have a place to fish at lunchtime ! A good stress reliever.

In 2016, NJDF&W stocked Indian Lake with LMB's, Bluegills, Golden Shiners & Brown Bullheads.
