Can anyone tell met the best and easiest route to get my canoe into Tilcon? I don't think my canoe will fit around the fence by the parking lot. Can anyone also let me know where the best area is to launch my canoe? TY

theres a small gap in the woods on the one road that runs along side of tilcon. its supposed to be shorter than going through the parking lot.

Once I get my canoe into Tilcon where is the easiest place to launch it?

i thought i replied to this but there was a problem with the site....anyway i get my 12ft jon boat through that fence easily on wheels fully loaded so i'm sure you can get a canoe through it. it's a long walk, follow the path, go with two guys if your boat is heavy and once you get to the lake there's an easy little dirt decline in. the path through the woods, if not over grown is a little closer but you have to go up and down a rocky hill which is a pain with wheels if you're alone...and it's not really that much closer honestly.

I've talked to this kayaker but I haven't tried it yet. He says it's the easiest way in. Put into the musconetcong river at a small pull off just below the i-80 overpass on Waterloo Rd. Then paddle upstream about 10 minutes and you can pull out and drag the boat over a small strip of land and go right into the lake.
