Skunk City

Was on the fence between a morning session of Hybrids or Salmon, but opted for the latter Sunday morning. I've read here on the forums that the Salmon are especially active on nasty days and it was definitely nasty and wet out when i headed west at 630am.
After a bait stop, fired up the batteries and started trolling. Started with a mix of herring, plugs and spoons on a 4 rod spread. Got a few on herring but had multiple herring come back in with gouges, scrapes, chunks missing off them. Quickly ran through a dozen before i made the switch to spoons and small metals. Seems like these fish like to wack their prey a few times before committing. Found a section of lake that was hot and it was game on almost every pass with a nice double header mixed in. Not big fish, mostly in the 14"-17" range but wow, what a fight and aerial display from these guys. Managed 11 Salmon and 1 LMB before packing it in early afternoon. Kept 2 for the grill and released the rest.
