Rainy morning at RV but managed 4 rainbows, a big perch and a beautiful tagged brown. Brown taped out at 25", didnt get a weight on it but figure around 6lbs. Kept the fish in water other then to take a few pics. Removed tag and released fish healthy. Fish was stocked 2 years ago at 10 inches, guess hes been eating good since!

Nice brown! Was the tag tough to get out of the lip? I caught a tagged rainbow from RV last fall but was hesitant to attempt to take the tag out becuase i wanted to release the fish quickly.

The tags have information on them that tells when the fish was stocked and how big just by a few numbers, easily decoded by RVTA.

Nice catch (and release)
question for those in the know - if the tag has "info" on them ... could one take a picture of the info and provide it to fish and game if you are releasing the fish?
I would think a lot could gained info wise from a fish that was caught and released multiple times . With smart phone tech as it is today i would think a lot of good data could be captured
