Chrisper and I headed up to Lake Ontario on Sunday to chase some big lake browns with a NS. We got out early, and saw the water was still very dirty from the 70 knot blow that came through the day before. We managed to pick a few smaller browns, but conditions weren't looking good so we decided to change gears.

On the way in, we decided to make a few quick passes over a walleye spot to see if anyone was home. Chrisper hooked up and landed a monster 31.5" 12lb walleye. The fish was released after a couple of pics.

We pulled the boat and headed to the Salmon river to try for some post spawn steelhead. Despite the fact that it was late morning, we managed to catch and release a bunch of nice steelhead, including this monster.

You guys cease to amaze me. You certainly pay your dues and it pays big dividends. Chris, that's an absolute tank of a walleye congratulations my friend. You must have gone crazy when you got that big girl in the net. Awesome steel as well, beautiful fish Justin. Good to see that fishery rebound after a couple really tough years. Greta job and seems like an awesome trip.

it basically felt like a snag...she just tried to use her weight to over power the little spinning outfit once she finally got closer to the boat she bulldogged down few times. i knew it was something decent but, I honestly didn't think it was that big until i saw it...and then of course it dove one more time haha.

the funniest part of the trip is that Justin caught bigger brown trout locally the day before!
