Keyport Seahawk - First Striped bass trips of the season

Wasn't much to say two weekends ago, we went sunday and i guess missed the best of the weekend fishing from saturday's good reports. we had two keepers early, threw one back because it was borderline 27.9-28" and didn't see another keeper all day, just rats and schoolies.

This past sunday we missed the best of the big fish free-for-all bite again unfortunately (saturday...not sure if it's weather/nature related or just the fact that the bay is beaten to a froth by anglers on the first day of the weekend haha)

anyway we did OK at least, picking up a few nice perfect sized keepers 28-32" on umbrella rigs with trailing big swimbaits. no luck tossing jigs and lures unfortunately and the trolling got old pretty quickly, so we only fished a half day.

Here's me after a few hours of trolling when that's all that'll work for us and we can't find fish that will hit any cast lures for us hahahaha
