What would you chose?

If you were going to fish a PB out of Point Pleasant or Belmar on Wednesday, what would you do? I prefer bottom fishing and had been planning a cod/ling trip, but the bass reports look good. Been tough to get a handle on cod/ling reports since everyone has been blackfishing. Suggestions?

I would drive to atlantic highlands and go on one of the sponsor boats for bass.

or if you're closer to keyport call the down deep guys or some of the other great capts/crews that sail out of there. get out there now for the bass.

The striper boats out of Belmar and Pt. Pleasant usually jig stripers this time of year. Up until yesterday there were no favorable jig reports. However a non sponsor boat out of Sheepshead Bay got them good yesterday on jigs--not sure where they fished. So if you want to striper fish out of either of those ports, check the reports from boats that sail out of there today and tomorrow.

There’s a very good chance that I’ll be targeting stripers on the Sea Hunter out of Atlantic Highlands on Wednesday. Only thing that might change my mind is if the jigging report is favorable.

Belmar boats were fishing off of Highlands bridge today...you can save time by going to the Raritan/SH Bay boats

I've been on The Fisherman many times. It has always been top notch...just tryin to save the extra drive time and do some bottom fishing. But it looks like the consensus is bass out of AH.
