Mixed bag o' trout

Joined JDtrout, uh i mean JDtuna, for some trout fishing before the last big rain. The fish were def a bit picky but we had a pretty nice mixed bag of trout. unfortunately the biggest fish of the day nailed JDtuna right by our feet and popped off, but we got to see the whole thing pretty clearly which was interesting. I also caught my first deer skull...it hit a pink jig.

I don't have any of JDtuna's pics so i'm sure he'll add them on or make a separate post. There was also some creepy dude by our cars taking selfies...I think he's on this site too, maybe he'll reveal himself :rolleyes:

All NJ fish, nice sized private stocked brown (i'm assuming), wild smaller one, nice rainbows (maybe high quality private stocking or wild?? idk), glowing mutant gold rainbow. all on plugs or pink jigs good times.

Way to go Chris...Nice group of fish ya got there. You gonna use them as bait for that Laker you're huntin? I bet those beasts of the depths would go for that pretty gold one for sure! :D

Browns are healthy. That gold fish gotta go though, I hope you killed it, though I wouldn't feed that mutant to my cat. Only thing they're good for is to draw a crowd away from the areas that I want to fish.

yeah i thought about that afterwards...I didn't expect to get many stocked fish let alone a gold one so i didn't really have anything with me to keep it (guess i could've made a fishing line stringer out of #4 haha) anyway i have fresh stocked rainbow meat for my laker hunts coming up :D:D

yeah i released it, but kept some of the flesh eating beetles inside it for a snack later
