decided to brave the cold winds on sunday and hit the north end of the cong where i was having problems finding bigger crappies. hit a spot that never had big fish and was surprised to find some bigger fish in there. the method was the same jig-n-bobber jig two and a half ft below the bobber. fish were in 4 to 6 fow they wanted the offering with a hop-n-pop retrieve. the wind picked up at 10:30 only fished for an hour more and called it the day. i was able to get 34 fish with the majority of them being over 12" the wind was pretty bad and the old town was taking on some water from all the wishy washy wave action that was going on in that wind blown cove.my anchor was not holding to well in that wind and i would drift right over them and you do not want to be where you are casting to the fish.
