Beautiful day, so-so fishing

Hit little swartswood this morning, launched around 7am. Started off the day hoping the bass would be active, but with the water temps around 50 i didnt get any action. Switched to a spinner and managed three bows, the biggest of which was 15 inches.
Also lost a pretty large, toothy fish about 6 feet from the boat. Saw the shape but not sure if it was a big pickerel or a bigger relative.

I guess all the boat ramps are open now. How did the water look, they were having water issues last summer I think. Thanx for the report !

The water was a bit stained. I don't know if I knew what a harmful algae bloom or whatever it was looks like but hopefully thats in the past now.
