Today aboard the Down Deep Bull we ran our first 2018 Raritan Bay Striped Bass trip with Nick and his big crowd of great friends. No rush to get where we needed to be as they were right where we expected to find what we were looking for. A nice day on the water and a good way to kick off our season putting the crew on some hungry Striped Bass to 36". Looks like we will have another great spring run. Nice start! Saw you guys heading out today as we were heading in, glad you got on em. We didn’t have time to fish, was more of a shakedown cruise. I was surprised we didn’t see more boats out in the bay today but seems most others are also just putting in.

nice start buddy! We planned to get out saturday afternoon and the wind turned 180 and pretty much shut us down before we even left wet a line. we had the kayak ready to go hammer the back bay and it turned into a damn washing machine. couldn't even cast from the shore, wind ripping right into our face. It was beautiful all morning saturday while we were working...go figure haha. hopefully get another chance by the end of the week!
