Can anyone confirm my guess? I am almost positive this is a redfin pickerel. Appreciate any comments, thanks.

To quote Ed NcMahon, " You are correct!" That is actually a good sized red fin from what I can see. They don't get very big. Nice catch and good job getting your lure back.

i have not seen one of those for a long time that is a big one as well, they don't get as big as the chain pickerel. cool catch:cool:

Yes, trout magnet is like freshwater crack. I actually caught one on a crappie magnet about 30 minutes earlier and when I was lifting the fish out of the water it fell off the crappie magnet landed right in front me. I bent over to pick it up and it slipped out of my hand and straight back into the water. So I went to the TM and pitched in the same area till I got his ass again. Needed the pics for proof!
