Happy New Year all!! Does anybody know if lake assunpink has safe ice? Thanks!

It's 9 degrees right now in spotswood...southern Middlesex county. The Raritan river is frozen. I think it should be safe with the recent polar vortex. It's going to be really cold for the rest of the week.

Should be safe as long as it was protected by the wind. Let us know how you do and be safe! Some good fishin on that place for sure!:D

Thanks guys. Not sure if I'm going there yet. Debating on going to Oxford. I know that has 4 to 5 inches on it. Good luck if yer heading out. Stay warm.

I went looking for bait Sunday in anticipation of getting out Monday - Harrys Army Navy on 130 in Hamilton was supposed to be getting live bait in today for ice fishing - sportsmen's center 5-10 min south of there may have some too, but they were closed on sunday

I'll be on assunpink on Sunday. That's my go-to spot for ice fishing. Always do good in the back cove.
