Monster NJ Brown Trout!!! 12/23

Holdover, wild, whatever! Doesn't necessarily matter as this fish was just "BIG!" Fish smashed a black jig and fought like a freight train. I couldn't believe my eyes when I finally saw this beast. I'm still in awe as I type this post. You just don't see trout this size caught in NJ streams nowadays! I had no measuring tape on me at the time so I made another notch in the Trout rod with my trusty pocket knife. After the release I went back to the car to get my tape out and get the measurement. This fish was all of 24 inches, 24 3/16 to be exact, LOL!!! After a short revival session the fish was released to be caught again! What a day on the streams!?!?!? TIGHT LINEZ to ALL!!! MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYS and GIRLS!!!

Thanks for the video, it seems all videos njf guys take involve a lot of cursing. :D I wouldn't say naming the river is a spot burn. Especially that river which has so many different accessible areas.

I'm still expecting a hook jaw tiger trout like last season!!! I know you can pull something like that again.

Wow - nothing better than fighting a heavy fish and wondering what is on the line and then seeing that huge head that lets you know you've hooked into a monster. But the fight isn't over until the fish is securely in-hand.
