So seabass season ends dec 31. Then in Jan the same trips turn into porgy/cod/pollock trips.

How does that actually work? There were maybe 4 total cod and pollock caught on my trip, the rest seabass porgies. Does the capt go to different spots? Do you fish with difft bait/rigs for cod and pollock? Seems to me that you would just be tossing back nice BSB instead of catching cod and pollock.
