And remember it does not matter if you caught your fish inside the 3 mile line. If you're outside the 3 mile line with Stripers in your possession, you are still subject to the fines..

I was black fishing Friday and there were 2 USCG boats boarding almost every boat along the 3mi line

Take note that 3 miles is from land. NOT straight out(East) offshore.

Parts of Ambrose channel are over 3 miles from NY and NJ making it federally controlled.

Draw yourself a range ring from tip of SH and a 3 mile line south of Rockaways and you'd be surprised.
