I had Joe Lawler and family out today for a half day trip, fishing has been very good the last few days but today the wind forecast was off, the 5- 10 knots forecasted was more like 20 knots with some gusts to 25 knots. The gulfstream current which ALWAYS runs south to north, threw off an eddy so today we had current that ran north to south. Naturally the bottom fishing suffered from these conditions, but we managed a few red groupers, triggers, and grunts on the bottom, and a real nice mahi that ate a goggle eye off of our kite.
