Had Andy and crew out for a bass trip on Black Friday.
When we broke the inlet we heard the bunker had moved so we went looking in another direction. We were able to find some bait offshore but when we looked offshore we saw a huge mass of birds working, so we went there. Put the shads on, hooked a couple of bonus fish, but they were very tough to catch.
So we broke out the trolling gear, put on the Maja #4's and went to work quickly bagging a boat limit of unders with may double headers in the mix. After that we went into release mode and still had good action, but by around 10 that tapered off so we went inshore to do the snag n drop thing and amidst a huge fleet, we were able to pick 3 more unders (all released).
We went back on the troll on the way home and picked a few more fish, one real nice 41" fish in the mix that had to go back.
Also saw a couple whales, dolphins, and even a seal. Great day with a boat limit of unders and a few bonus fish, just couldn't find an over!
