There’s a few sponsors and non sponsors that go offshore for sea bass. Looking for any reports from yesterday trips. Anybody heard how those guys made out?

Lots of large seabass caught on squid mostly and some clams for folks who used them. Limits around the boat on seabass, but not everyone. Definitely quality over quantity on that trip. Jumbo Porgies were caught as well. A few large white hake came over the rail too and a big weakfish. Blues were the perfect size for eating and not too annoying. Also a skipjack was caught.

Aqua Dawg,
I was in the port side stern and have a different opinion. I had a dozen sea bass, half in the 3-5 lb range, 15 porgies, a pinfish, bergall, and 4-5 blues, including
a 7 lb blue. In my opinion, still too warm off shore. The bluefish was a nuisance throughout the trip in the stern even after sunrise. Many sea bass and porgies being chewed in 1/2. Had to reel up fast to get your sea bass in the boat; Lost only one porgy after a tangle. Still a nice trip with lots of room.
