Started at Saxton Falls 7am, air temp. 28*. Bounced around there, nothing.
Went down to Stephens State Park, couldn't get to one of the deep holes as a park ranger told me the buildings were getting broken into and the area was off limits, hit some of the bigger holes at the lower end of the park, nothing. Hit a few other spots along the way, shin deep water, meh. Passed by Point Mountain TCA, there were grey haired wand wavers already loading up the parking lot, I kept driving. Hit the Kings Highway stretch, nothing. Penwell is off limits now. Fished by Rt. 31, again shallow water and no shortage of no trespassing signs. Finally caught a trout at the graphite mill in Asbury, drove around some more, more shin deep water. I don't do well in shin deep water, give me some water to fish !!! Next thing I knew I was standing in the Delaware river !!! ahhhh water finally !!! Nothing there but nice and deep.
Went by The Sporting Life and saw Tommy and picked up a BG1500 Daiwa and some good warm socks, Mr. Topaz was there also. Still had time hit the Raritan river in Manville, nothing but looked good, nice and deep.
So I went through the better part of the Musconetcong river in 5 hours.
The Musconetcong has many many dams on it.
Fished 3 rivers in one day.
