Default Norfolk Canyon bottom brutes!

I had the opportunity to do a TNT trip with a friend out of OC, MD Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday and o boy was it a good one! Me and Jason left around 6pm and ran to an area called lumpy bottom about 50 miles southeast of the inlet. 15 minutes after we start chunking Jason hooks into a 30# yellowfin and quickly boats it. Back in the water and we quickly get covered up by cocktail blues. All night they were thick under the boat and the only fish all night was a 7' hammerhead that Jason broke off at the boat. At first light we had a short yellowfin and then got covered up by big false albacore. At 8 we decided it was time to go try some deep dropping. We were not dissapointed. We both had a monster Snowy grouper over 40#, mine going 46# gutted the next day. Estimated weight was 52-55#. Fish was an absolute brute, taking drag at 25# at will. The Super Tile and JM PE7 combo handled the fight beautifully. We also did a few short drifts for tiles before thunderstorms forced us to cut the day short. We had 6 fish with by biggest a little over 30#. Best part was the big tile came on a 350g Jigging Master Dancing Jig in 700'! Jason also had a monster go in its hole and wouldnt come out. All in all an awesome day

Beastly Grouper!

Awesome pics Mike!

Glad to see that handle has held up and can pull fish.
