Default papa's angels 7/18 report

hazy high and humid for anglers john mc nulty his dad pat and friend mark who were on board with us this morning, headed east our first drift produced a bunch of short fluke, we moved around fishing inside and ocean side but short fish dominated the day, inspite of the hot weather the group hung in there and fished hard landing 5 keepers to 20 inches, a good time was had by all.

Thumbs up Re: papa's angels 7/18 report

It was so hot out there today.. WOW ..

The group must have picked through over 40 shorts today.. We moved around a lot today.. Tried our hardest.. Current picked up big time and the group ended up using 10oz plus of weight to hold bottom.. So we picked up and Tried back in the bay.. Lots of shorts and sea robins.. The guys worked their butts off and stayed at the rail all day.. Even through the heat.. You guys did great and stuck it out..

Live peanut bunker was the ticket today.. Which if i might add were everywhere this morning in the harbor.. Two throws of the cast net and had more then we could use in a month.. They were so thick behind the boat that i could have grabbed them with my hands.. It was amazing to see..

Capt Joe and I hope to see you guys again! We had a blast!

Capt Joe,

We had a great time. Fishing was mixed but not because of the effort. Had a nice pick early on live peanuts and some jigging too (neither was better than the other). The shorts kept things busy and a few decent fish mixed in.

Capt Joe moved us around a lot trying to find the fish. Jeff (the mate) was great and helped the new guy we had a lot as well.

Overall a good time despite the crazy heat and the on and off fishing.

Hoping to get out with Papa's Angels again some time soon.

Thanks again to Capt Joe and Jeff.
