Default delaware toggin

Took the ride down to fish with Scotty on Sunday. Nice drive down on Saturday and got room for $37.00 (w/tax). Can't beat it! was at the dock when they came in on Saturday and was told they did well, no big fish but plenty of tog for all. Loaded the boat with our stuff and off to dinner.

Woke up Sunday to pea soup fog, but light wind and warm temps. Took a short ride to the grounds (less than an hour) and it was time to tog! I started our group off with the first short (the first on many for me). Then the mortgage man put our first keeper on the boat. Had some good catchin for the first hour or so and then the current kicked in. The hard current shut down the bite for a few hours, but peeps were still pickin. As the current slacked off later in the day the fish started to chew again.

Eric had 7, Johnny had three and billy had one. That leaves me, I ended the day wit the goose egg as far as keepers. I counted 15 shorts for me all at 15 inches. The good news is that I bought a vintage lami surf rod from tropics on the way down at the flea market. The rod was cut down and redone in red white and blue. I loved it. Thanks Richie! If the one I dropped of comes out half as nice I will be ecstatic!

All in all a good day of fishin with Scotty and Jerry. Thinkin of doin it again next weekend if I can find someone to make the trip.

I was also on the boat on Sunday, report very accurate, not sure if we met shripman. Everyone did pick around boat, I myself also had the goose egg, one shortie and a bergal. Went down with a few friends who had 3-5 keepers each. All in all a nice trip with a great group of guys.

You are lucky to get that rod as I was going to buy it from Richie after he redid it but my reel i wanted to mount to rod did not fit properly on the reel seat otherwise it would be in my collection. That rod came out great. He used some of my cork rings I gave him. When you are stroking your rod just make sure you are not thinking of me. Richie does some nice work.

alex, will certainly not think about you while I'm holding my rod, thanks for not buying it

when I bought it at the flea market I left my other vintage glass rod for richie to redo. can't wait to get it back, i think you would like it just as much. it is very similar but softer, almost like one of those austrailian blanks.

It was a day of pay back for me. Several years ago I just started black fishing. I took a road trip with the Shrimpman to fish in Rhode Island with Jimmy Mac, Stelli, Jimmy Lee, and Dave. I caught a good number of fish that day but I did not get a keeper. It just so happens that there was a 7 year old girl in pajamas that caught 3 keepers. I have been hearing about pajama girl now, from many sources, for 3 years. The only reason that I had a meal was that Stelli gave me 3 of his keepers.Well payback was sweet!!! There was a 10 year old girl in a tutu that got 2 keepers while the Shrimp had the ZERO!!! Please spread the word on this TUTU tale so that I can forget about pajama girl.
