Default hope the cod are eating

this was the weekend last year when the cod fishing really got good.my son and i jigged over 100 with 40 keepers with capt matt on the k3.hope they turn on soon.

no complaints from me kevin,love those ling.kraft has this new shake and cook
stuff out call"fresh take".i like the italian parmesan one.you shake them ling in that and bake it,man is that good.

I remember that one! I fished the night before and got 1 or 2 cod and ling. The next day you guys banged 'em up.

Trying to get out tomorrow am with Matt.

yea leif that trip was as good as it gets.gonna fish with jeff tomorrow.if the cod start and the ling hold up this may be the best winter in a long long time.

way to go codkid.thats what i want,20-30 nice ling and 3 keeper cod and maybe a nice roaster blackfish.

weds on the jersey hooker, i had about 20 ling and 3 nice sized cod, funny part is the larger cod were no where near where you think they would be. hahah

Bunker,

I was on that trip too. I was fishing with Reefsquatter by the Starboard Stern corner and you guys were really killing them up by the bow.

I had a decent day but nothing like you guys had.

I think I remember Tautog (Kirk) from this site tossing fish down to us because he had caught enough for the day.

That is the day to beat for NJ Cod.

Weather is so strange this year. I think it is way too warm. My daffodils are starting to come up already.


Let's hope they show up soon but thankfully the Ling are around in force.

This weather is crazy for this time of the year.. Last year it was way colder.. IM not complaining about this amazing weather we are having but i think the cod fishing is going to suffer due to it.. the water temp is up.. Just dont think there will be any amazing cod fishing this year.. sucks.. but this wamer temps will benafit us with other fish! like how awesome the ling fishing as been..
