Default Gambler Mid range trip March 7th

Hit the Gambler today with Matt for the 20-50 mile trip today, nice ride out in pretty flat seas, Has a good pick of Pollock, Cod , and Ling today, with us filling a cooler .

Had a great lunch made by Ms G,
and made for an enjoyable day on the water.

Fish that won the pool was a 23 pound pollock.
Captain Bob looked around alot to make sure everyone got into the fish.

Nice seeing and meeting some new guys from the site

Good fishing next to you today. No keeper cod for me, but 8 ling, mostly decent sized makes for a few nice meals. Captain Bob was above and beyond today as we didn't get in until after 7. As we are getting off he is trying to get me to go blackfishing tomorrow. Unfortunately I'm middle aged now and need my beauty sleep.

Ahab , always fun fishing with you . What a good group of people . The Ling were also aggressive ! I caught one on a 6X Salas jig (California Jig ) . Hook in the mouth no less !
