NETKEEPER - Friday 11/20 - Rob Shinbrot Striped Bass Charter Report - Good Jigging

Sorry for the late post, had no computer access for the weekend.

Hosted Rob Shinbort with colleagues Nick, Hemant, Jeff and Sanjay (2x) on the NetKeeper Friday.

Expected to get dumped on but thankfully the weatherman was off. By early afternoon it was a beautiful day. Planned to run down the beach to see if the bite from the prior days continued. Stopped closer to home on fish rolling on the surface and sand eels spraying out of the water. The hard 20-25mph west wind made for a fast drift and the only thing that worked for us was throwing some soft plastics at them.

Continued to run south (had to be back for 2pm which constrained how far we could go) stopping on more birdlife and marks where we continued to get covered in blues with the occaisional bass mixed in. By days end the guys managed to jig about a dozen bass with 4 being keepers and way too many blues to keep track of, just keeping 10 for tablefare. The fish were gorged with Sand Eels and with reports of Tuna nearby, decided to put on Sting-O PBJ jigs and give them a try at fall run fishing. They were responsible for landing all the keeper bass.

Great bunch of guys who worked hard all day.
