Started out with Hollywood his brother-Lee- and his nephew-Gauge
Hollywood caught some snappers early in the morning but we did not setup the livewell correctly and - bye bye - we had to get more and had to get gas = late start Our day/drift/conditions were pretty much like everyone else's - Capt. Alan will update with specifics - as far as drift and condition specifics I beleive we started out @ tip of Sandy hook/ reach - made our way over to ambrose - which I caught a 4lb Sea Bass - Big Knuckle head that you would catch off shore -I was very shocked and thought it was a nice fluke - but happily dissapointed - and ended up the day in the sticky stuff Hollywood Mike- All I can say is he was not on his "A" game and didnt have a keeper/fish all morning and was very very very quiet and very un-Hollywood like but thank god in the afternoon he pulled it back together and landed the biggest fish for the day around 4+lber. and had 2 keepers for the day - plus a couple of knuckle heads Lee and Guage were mostly targeting Sea bass and picked away all day Once again many shorts and didnt even count em up Total for the day - 6 keepers up to 4 +lbs. about 2 dozen sea bass with 2 going to 4 lbs.- Fish were caught on pretty much everything from the snappers to "New Penny" to squid and spearing I wound up with 4 keeper Fluke maybe to 3 or 4 lbs. and a handful of seabass with the very nice knuckle head Beautiful day on the water - Lots and Lots of Laffs Captain Kill-Joy took a little while to warm up after his " Epic Tuna Trip the day before" and is a man of few words but when he speaks it is like "EF Hutton" Couldnt resist Al - TEE HEEE- ![]() Great day and crew and cant wait till I get back out with the Netkeeper this week for a Magik hours trip -Hopefully - Wife and work permitting G.W - Out - ![]()

Nice report George. Afternoon bite was a little off although the drift was perfect. I guess if you got in a patch of them you were in...and if not...not.
I have your "care package" in my truck and might call you in 15 on my way North. Fin~S ![]()

Yes Jon the game face is now standard since the tourny - but I have learned to breath and talk while reeling in a fish now -

Had to leave late today as we got back from the BFT grounds on Friday to fuel up. On the way to get fuel, we netted snappers that were harrassing the Spearing and then off we went. With the outgoing tide and comfortable drift, tried fishing the Twin Sticks first on the way out with a mix of shorts and sea robins to show for our efforts. Went to Ambrose next to fish the end of the tide where it started off as promising and quickly went downhill as the tide dropped out. George pulled a Sea Bass just shy of 20" and 4lb's on the scale out of the channel. We then had drop and reel Sea Robin fishing and then got out of dodge quick and headed for the sticky stuff. Had great drift conditions until the South wind kicked-up and the current started to run hard late in the day. Found patches of fish, unfortunately, holding more short Fluke than keepers. However, we pulled some nicer sized Sea Bass keepers
