Default Etra lake

Had an hour to kill while the kids were in CCD last night, so i stopped at etra lake to try for some carp and cats. Had some chicken livers that were in the fridge for awhile and was pretty ripe and put one rod out with that, and tossed a can of creamed corn out the other way and put out another line with hair rigged kernels of corn.

I did catch a pair of 14" 1.5 lb channels but to my surprise it wasn't on the livers ...both of them took the corn

i also caught a sunfish on some corn under a bobber being the creamed corn seemed to have attracted the panfish. I am thinking of heading out to the Big D this weekend to try for some flats and may just go back to etra and do the corn thing again and put out 2 hair rigs to see what bites while catching some bait for the flats with the bobber rod

I fish there in the spring with my buddy, boat ramp, no problem, we use his 21' bullet. It's a fun place with some nice bass

thats good to know, i never even heard of etra lake before.
My boat is 16ft starcraft, so I can usually get into some pretty small ramp/launch sites.

Is Etra just a dirt ramp on side of the road?
I did a drive by today and the park gates are locked.

Its a dirt ramp accessed by the small lot on etra perrineville road, and not in the main park itself.

Yes, that's the ramp. dirt, and washed out a little, but still no problem to get in.
